Acceptable Use Policy

Koutei PDF makes it quick to produce professional-looking documents. That is also what makes it tempting to misuse, so this policy sets out the rules. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Honest documents only

Don't use the Service to create documents meant to deceive anyone. For example, don't create:

  • invoices, quotes or receipts for sales, work or payments that didn't happen;
  • receipts or invoices to support a false expense claim, insurance claim, refund or tax return;
  • documents that pretend to come from another person, business or public body;
  • fake certificates, qualifications, references, contracts or official records; or
  • résumés or other documents with details you know to be false, meant to mislead.

2. Content you have the right to use

  • Only include other people's personal information where you have a lawful reason to use it.
  • Don't use logos, trademarks or other material you don't have the right to use.
  • Don't create content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or harm.

3. Respect the Service

  • Don't try to get around credit limits, for example by opening several accounts for extra free credits.
  • Don't try to get around the free invoice generator's limits, for example by switching networks or scripting requests.
  • Don't overload the Service or send requests designed to use excessive computing resources.
  • Don't probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses, except as described in our security policy.
  • Don't try to access other people's accounts or data.
  • Don't copy, resell or rebuild the Service or its templates, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.
  • Don't use the Service to send spam, malware or phishing material.

4. API use

A public API is not yet available. When it launches, keep your API keys secret, stay within its rate limits, and don't use automation to do anything this policy forbids.

5. Sanctions

You may not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions, or on behalf of anyone who is, or from a country where our payment provider cannot legally serve you.

6. What happens if the rules are broken

We may refuse a request, remove access to a feature, or suspend or close an account that breaks this policy. Where the law requires it, we may report illegal activity to the authorities. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and let you explain.

7. Report misuse

If you think someone is misusing Koutei PDF, for example you received a fake document made with it, email support@kouteisystems.com.
