Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Koutei PDF ("the Service"), operated by Koutei Systems, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Koutei PDF is a PDF and image generation platform. Users can generate documents from templates via a web interface or REST API. The Service operates on a credit-based system.

3. Account Terms

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and API keys.
• You must not share your API keys or account credentials with unauthorized parties.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.

4. Credit System & Billing

Each PDF or image generation consumes one credit. New accounts receive 50 free credits. Additional credits can be purchased through our subscription plans. Credits do not carry over between billing periods. All payments are processed by Paystack.

Prices are displayed in the currency applicable to your region. All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate illegal, fraudulent, or harmful content
• Forge documents (e.g., fake invoices, fraudulent contracts)
• Circumvent rate limits or abuse the credit system
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Overload the Service with excessive automated requests beyond your plan limits

6. API Usage

API access is provided via API keys. You are responsible for all usage associated with your API keys. If you believe your key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately via the Settings page.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content and data you submit to the Service. Documents generated using our templates and your data are yours to use without restriction. The Service itself, including its design, code, and templates, remains the property of Koutei Systems.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Koutei Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on our website.
