Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. You don't need an account and it uses no credits. To keep it free for everyone, each network can make up to 5 invoices an hour and 20 a day.
Do you keep my invoice or my details?
No. What you type, and your logo if you add one, is sent over an encrypted connection, turned into a PDF and sent back to you. We don't save it or the PDF, and our logs don't record it. To enforce the limit we keep a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address (never the address itself) and counts, for no more than 2 days.
Can I add VAT or sales tax?
Yes. Enter the rate (for example 15) and choose VAT, GST, Sales tax or Tax: the invoice adds it on its own line, calculated on the subtotal after any discount, and you can print your VAT or tax number. The document is headed "Invoice", not "Tax invoice"; if your tax authority requires a tax invoice with particular details, check what it needs.
Can I add my logo or several line items?
Yes. Add a PNG or JPG logo up to 1 MB: it is printed at the top right and used only to make this PDF, never saved. You can add up to 50 line items, each with a quantity and unit price; the amounts and totals are calculated for you.
Which currencies can I use?
Any. Type the currency code or symbol you bill in, such as USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR or JPY. Amounts use the currency's usual decimals: none for JPY, three for KWD, otherwise two. Everything else is printed exactly as you type it.
Why would I create an account?
A free account gives you 50 credits every month (one per PDF) and our other templates, including quotes and payment receipts. The invoice form is the same.
